Why does the placing boom have 3 or 4 arms?
Theoretically, the higher the number of boom segments, the greater the degree of freedom of the placing boom in its motion space, and the more convenient it is to place the concrete. However, each additional arm will be an additional set of connecting rod mechanism, cylinder system, electronic control, hydraulic control system to an additional loop, resulting in higher manufacturing costs.
Therefore, in the design of the boom, a balance between utility and convenience and economy should be sought. Generally speaking, the larger the placing radius, the more arms.
